SOME THINGS WE DO DIFFERENTLY ....
CHOOSING THE MUSIC
Strangely, many people do not know the names of the songs they like, you've heard people say "this is the song I meant, what's it called?” If you really could choose only the music you desired, and you could only think of, let's say 200 or maybe 300 songs (try it yourself, it's harder than you think), you would have a very limited choice to play at your party.
So then, what about the songs you had forgotten to include during the selection process, or the other songs that your guests may enjoy? It's all about the mood of the moment and the available choice at the time.
At Party Express you receive ALL catagories. Over 7,000 certified hits from the 50’s right through to today’s Top 40. Not to mention over 2,000 karaoke hits on the same jukebox. Why choose a restricted list of music when you can have it all? Our system has MORE MUSIC than any jukebox system in the state. Get real value for money!
Hidden reasons
The option of customers choosing tracks is often used by jukebox operators who have technical or licensing limitations for the total number of songs available on each jukebox.
These operators usually have songs grouped together in categories, and require you to take the entire category just to obtain the song(s) you desire from that category. So while you have obtained the song(s) you desire, you may also have many songs you do not.
You could end up with hundreds of songs in the jukebox that you did not choose, or worse, some you did not desire in the first place. So much for choosing your own music. The undesirable songs may then contribute towards the total number of songs you are allowed for that jukebox.
In the event of an equipment failure (even the best engineered equipment does unexpectedly fail) will the replacement jukebox have the required songs loaded?
Our advice to you is never hire a jukebox where you have to choose your own music. Why not have ALL the music available, and get real value for your money!
TOUCH SCREEN SELECTION
We do not use them and here is why: The touch screen technology was principally designed for use in controlled environments (air conditioned offices, etc.) with dry & clean fingers. Our research has revealed limitations with touch screens when used in a jukebox.
These included, but are not limited to:
· wet fingers from holding drinks or perspiration
· greasy fingers from eating food, eg. finger foods
· dirty fingers from various party situations
· long finger nails and acrylic finger nails not making contact with the screen
The touch screens did not respond in a consistent manner as required, or simply did not respond at all; in extreme cases the screens caused the operating system to crash, requiring a reboot of the jukebox. It was surprisingly easy to cut the surface of the screen, using only an acrylic finger nail and minimal pressure. This was sufficient to render the screen unusable. Who pays for the damaged screen?
SEPARATE SPEAKERS
We do not use them and here is why:
Separate speaker boxes present a number of space, safety and legal issues;
They contribute to the foot print (square &cubic area required) of the jukebox, causing problems in confined areas. People may trip over the cables, or when bumped or pulled, speakers, especially those on stands, may topple over, injuring or damaging somebody or something.
There are stringent Workcover regulations for securing many free standing items and cable safety.
Public liability issues.
REMOTE CONTROL
We do not use them and here is why. Remote controls present a number of technical and social issues.
Technical issues
· malfunctions including parts failure or battery failure
· crushed under foot or otherwise made inoperable
With hard wired buttons, should one button fail the remaining buttons are able to perform their functions.
Social issues
If the remote control is hidden, hijacked, misplaced or stolen, then you have lost control of the jukebox. The person who possesses the remote control (they and only they) can:
· change the music volume
· change the microphone volume
· jump to the next track or delete all the other selections
· play the same track over and over
· put the music on pause
· stop anybody else from making selections
If you are unable to return the remote control in working order who will be responsible for it's replacement cost?
